THE VALLEY LABOR REPORT is Alabama’s only union talk radio show. David and Jacob educate the audience about the power that workers can have through organizing, unionization, solidarity, and collective action.
DAVID STORY is a third-generation union member born and raised in Alabama. He is President of the Machinists Union Local 44 in Decatur AL and Secretary Treasurer of the Alabama State Council of Machinists, serving some 15,000 members across Alabama. David has spent the majority of his adult life fighting for worker’s rights and living by the Machinists’ moto, “Justice on the Job and Service to the Community.”
JACOB MORRISON is a proud Alabamian, born and raised in the greater Huntsville area. He’s a dues paying member of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 1858 and Secretary Treasurer of the local Labor Council. Animated by the old adage that an injury to one is an injury to all, he was instrumental in chartering the Huntsville branch of the IWW – a union open to all workers and primarily focused aon organizing workers seen as unorganizable.
