Shannon Moore was born in Huntsville, Alabama. Shannon is a graduate of Grissom High School, and he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a major in political science and a minor in history.
Shannon went on to get his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. Upon graduation from law school in 1998, he established a law firm with a fellow graduate. Shannon has been in the private practice of law since that time and currently practices in the firm of Moore & Gentle, Attorneys at Law in Huntsville. His practice focuses on family law, criminal law, personal injury, and probate law.
Shannon is a past president of the Madison County Young Lawyers. He is a member of the Madison County Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association.
In addition to his legal activities, Shannon is an active member of the local community. He is a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he has taught Sunday school. Shannon was a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Board at Virginia College in Huntsville and the South Huntsville Library Steering Committee. He is currently a board member on the South Huntsville Civic Association.
Shannon has managed several political campaigns over the years and ran for office himself. He remains very active in Republican politics. For over five years, Shannon was Chairman of the Madison County Young Republicans. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Young Republican Federation of Alabama as well as its legal counsel. More recently, Shannon was a Trump delegate and attended both the Republican National Convention as well as the 2017 Presidential Inauguration.
In his spare time, Shannon enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and collecting antiques.
