Marty Broman
News Director and Meteorologist

Marty has been a radio newsman for 35 years. As a youngster growing up in Kansas, he built and operated his own low powered radio station to broadcast the news to everyone in his house. His broadcasting career has taken him from Kansas then on to Missouri in the 1980's, where he did both radio and television news, and finally to Alabama and WVNN in 1997. He's won several broadcast journalism awards over the years. Marty has traveled with and covered former Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton along with former Vice Presidents Dan Quayle and Al Gore. He has covered several breaking national news stories for national networks. He's a graduate of Mississippi State University's Broadcast Meteorology program. When he's not covering the news and weather, Marty's enjoys working on the family cattle farm, fly fishing and watching his son and daughter compete in sports.
